Norm,

I use a heat gun made for heat shrink tubing. It has 3 settings no,low and high heat. I had to use it to get the wedge started on the hatch slide. You can see that i also used a sharpened "Wonder" bar to help the process.

I think my main problem will be replacing the forward curved piece.

The storm hood needs more air circulation and epoxy coating inside. Mine was totally rotten. I am also going to fix it so I can take the cover off and clean it out.
