First Sail of the 2008 Season!

OK, so you guys in the deep south sail all year. But up here in the Northern areas those last sails of the season have to last from November through the winter to Spring. BUT this year there was a bit of a break! Today the temps here on the central Chesapeake Bay reached 70+ on the land and about 60 on the water. I couldn't resist. So I went down to the boat and went out for a few hours. It was strange to sail all alone. OK, so I sail solo often but I have never before sailed when there was NO one around. I saw a total of 5 boats in 3 1/2 hours. Most of those were specks on the horizon. It was so beautiful, just me and the sounds of the boat and wind (about 10 kts) and the winter birds. It was one of the most beautiful days.
