What about Solar

Report: outside forum guidelines

We've had good luck with a 5w solar panel to keep the battery topped off and the Bilge pump on all off season. IT helps to start with a full charge. The Battery is hooked up to a Guest Charge Pro 10a marine charger mounted in the boat, but our marina does not allow us to even leave the grounds with the boat plugged in to shorepower. We can stay on the boat all night at the dock wiht everything plugged in, but we can't go to the marine store down the road and leave the boat plugged in to charge (or so they say) Liability is hight on the list!

THe Solar panel kept the bilge dry all season in an Endeavor 32 (in the water bilge pump in play due to a packing box leak) after leavign it with a full charge and the solar panel connected. Those 5 watt panels are great!
