Don't do it....it sucks. Reception is all about height off of the water. Last summer one of the many Bayliners in whittier backed into my berthed boat and broke it off. (jury rigged now) I get much better recption from my handheld. My mast will come down this summer and a proper antenna will be mounted. Craig....use a handheld for backup in case of a loss of power or when in your tender.
