I agree with the warning about the saw blades. GPO-3 is usually mineral embedded, for electrical insulation, and that does eat up the blades. Good respirator, too, to avoid Asbestosis/Mesothelioma. And goggles. Your lungs cannot process out the minerals and just build scar tissue around the particles which reduces lung capacity. FRP is bad for the lungs, too, but a little gentler on the blades. Maybe a wet saw? I never saw one used with fiberglass, but that doesn't mean it's not possible. That would reduce the airbornes and lubricate the blades... On second thought, maybe you would be better off with the 6"x36"x1" piece, so you would not have to make so many cuts. The original block was 6"x6"x6", wasn't it?
