Atomic 4 fuel pump/ trailering a Catalina 27

Greetings, A new member here. I just removed my late model Atomic 4 gas engine to have it rebuilt. Should I update to the electric fuel pump and why?.I am concerned about another electricial connection near the fuel line. 2nd question, does anyone trailer their Catalina? I have a Catalina 22 swing keel that I trailer but 27?. This is a great form, lots of good info. Thanks, Mike
