I heard that the Corps has been out drilling holes on Lake Pepin trying to figure out when the lake will open so they can send the first barge up to St. Paul. Don't know how thick the ice is but someone is optimistic about a thaw.
I need to do something in my anchor locker as well. It looks like the bottom has shrunk away from the sides so water leaks down around the sides. Must not go too fast though. One day last summer I opened the lid and found the water was about half covering the bow lights.
