I did think about your suggestion, Craig, but when I ran the genny reefed I found it was quite inefficient. I may end up sailing that way for this coming season since I've got other things to spend my money on now.

I tried a self tending jib on my Weekender but never liked the way the sail set so shifted back to the traditional two-sheet arrangement. Still there is a lot to be said for one in short handed sailing. The way it is around here, I could have the boat loaded to capacity with passengers still be sailing short handed.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll have to look into a jib club arrangement.
