I took a closer look at the inside of the keel sump today. There are some voids in several places which go down toward the keel, and out toward the port side. It looks like they poured a bunch of eresin in there when they were building the boat and it didnt quite get to every nook and cranny, leaving some spaces. But, it does look scary. There is also a void where the mast compression block was, on the starboard side.
I guess I will clean theses little voids out as well as I can and fill them with catsup thick epoxy with colloidal silica, before glassing out the keel stub. Has anyone seen this, and does anyone have any other suggestions?
