Replace sheaves

Report: outside forum guidelines

I replaced mine last summer with the mast down. My halyards were outside of the mast but probably doesn't matter. If you are going to replace with the mast up, I'm pretty sure you don't need to worry about the forestay being in the way. There are two pins fore and aft for each of the two sheaves and the aluminum separator to deal with. When I got mine apart, the sheaves were ok but there was so much aluminum oxide corrosion at the separator that the sheaves were jammed. If you are going up there, I would think about replacing all sheaves. I'm trying to add a picture for the first time..so.
