Siting CO detector

Report: outside forum guidelines

Been hanging on to a CO detector for too long because I can't figure out where best to mount it. Any ideas?

I have a 1972 C27, w/ outboard on stern mount (aft lazerette closed-up), aft galley, dinette layout.

Was considering over the quarterberth; then, thought maybe on port-side cockpit bulkhead (interior, of course). Still have the Princess stove, but likely will be replacing with an Origo or butane drop-in soon. Is it a bad idea to be too close to the stove? Are the forward bulkheads a better choice?

Where's your CO detector?

BTW--I'm so glad I've found this site! I've owned my boat less than a year, but am totally in love with my "other woman". This forum has given me many great ideas already, thanks!
