Cockpit drain

A problem that has vexed me is the drain system in the cockpit and the lazarette, currently free-flowing into the "wet" locker. Question 1 regards the cockpit well drains, currently two 1/2" thru-hull fittings that just empty passively. I would love to find something larger, at least 1" apiece, poss. with a 90 deg. so that I could run them to a transom drain. The other question is in regards to the small 1/2" holes faired into the built in drain around the laz. hatch. Due to the small channel they are in, adding a fitting to these holes to allow hose attachment seems rather impossible. Closing them off doesnt seem to make much sense either. Has anybody tackled this dilemma successfully, or have any ideas that could result in my leaving what little hair I have remain in place?
