genoa track

Report: outside forum guidelines

Has anyone rebedded their genoa track? Mine was leaking badly, so I made an attempt, but had an extremely hard time getting the nuts and washers on inside the cabin, as well as the port cockpit locker, and rear locker. I may have to pull the whole thing and try again. I used 4200. When I put the bolts through the track and deck, they got 4200 on the tips, which made it really hard to thread the nuts on. The space below to work in is really terrible, with the side cabin liner in the way, as well as other parts of the liner. And as for working in the rear deck locker (at the stern) forget about it! I wrenched myself into it but couldnt get my arms to reach back to the corners.

Any other similar stories of misery? Or suggestions?
