Thanks Keith. Lowes (or Home Depot) it is. Luckily there isn't one of those large marine stores within 100 miles of where we live...
I'll try an upload a pic when I get it figured out. I'm thinking about using epoxy to create a strong, flat edge to the back of the cover.
