My cabin had some sagging in between the two aft starboard ports. I ended up reinforcing it with shimming and thickened epoxy I also had to screw a board to both sides until the epoxy set. The warping had set in and needed some persuasion. I just left it like that for a couple of weeks. When I unscrewed the contraption the sagging was corrected. I did pull all sorts of scrap plywood and fiberglass out from between the liner and cabin. some of it was rotten some was just an annoyance. This was in and around all of the ports. I dug it all out as deep as I could get all the way around each opening. I put in foam backer rod and filled with thickened epoxy. This should prevent water intrusion in the future if my port's seal fails. I was going to shim everything to standardize the gap but decided that it was not necessary in the end. I have my boat in my driveway next to my shop so I have been able to completely dismantle anything that is removable. Of course I still need to put it all back eventually. I have photos of most things if anyone needs to see something specific. I just finished covering the boat for the winter yesterday though. It seems that ignorance is bliss. The more I look the more I find and this boat was well taken care of always in fresh water and regularly maintained. Amory has done most of the same projects I have and more it seems. Maybe he will weigh in on the question too. Mine is a 77 can't remember the hull #
