Used to say stuff to me like, "Go ahead! Don't bother reefing!"
Not any more. I had an excellent sail in light air Saturday morning in my foldable kayak, then had the opportunity to sail it in a steady 12-14 kt wind that afternoon. I took it apart instead. Didn't feel like swimming!
