It's been a WHIRLWIND this past 3 weeks ~ but here she is!
We found her after placing a random post on an Internet BB ... by that evening we had a reply ... a few e-mails later ... a 'red-eye' trip to Georgia and back ... and she joined our 'fleet' of collector boats! (WE QUALIFY ... believe me!) We then had 6 days to get her show ready ... touch-up her finish all 'round, strip the mast to bare wood, 4 coats of rubbed varnish, reattach all hardware, 'tweak' some rigging adjustments ... in preparation for the NCMM Wooden Boat Festival Show! Here's the link to our post about the show on our local sailing board; http://ncsail.org/cgi-bin//cgi_ncsail/ceilidh.exe/ceilidh/?C3400c7505Hgh-6699-13991-60.htm The small images are thumbnails, just click on each to view a larger pic. She rows like a dream (she was designed by Jack Fesenmeyer, a gondola builder in Florida) and sails even better! We sailed all day Sunday and we took her out for 3 hours last night after work ... Ahhhh ~ Isn't love wonderful ... Later, AJ
