I think the whole point of little boats is to escape winches, but that's beside the point.
The Sun Cat has an interior liner which wasn't designed to hold a winch, so I'd cut the liner or use an extra large backing plate if you leave the liner in place.
You'll have to abandon use of the spinlock for the throat halyard, as there's no way to put a winch behind it. If I were to put a winch on a Sun Cat, I'd put it forward of the inboard cleat in this picture, just ahead and to starboard of the peak halyard spinlock.
