First, I can't believe you had this happen to you, Vicki. Here I thought I had one up on you. I also really feel good that Vicki and I were not the only ones to have this happen to them. Changing that pin is definitely on my list.
I removed the boom gallows during lunch and took it into our technology teacher (for you older people, the "shop" teacher). In 10 minutes, he had it clamped and glued and is talking about how he's going to sand this and add that to make it look better.
After my earlier "gash" (see link below), I am starting to agree with Greg that the dings and scrapes add character to a catboat. Yeah....that's it. My boat is now BETTER because I have been dropping masts and digging holes in the fiberglass .
Anyway, thanks to this board, I have saved myself $110 plus, replacement cost from Com-Pac, who sent me a part's list for the Suncat. Very impressed with the quick reply from Gerry Hutchins. This wasn't always the case with Nick Hake at Seaward Yachts.
