and need some help.I have just sold my mac26d and looking for something a little smaller, easier to handle, load & launch etc.Have been thinking in terms of a precision or compac. Ran into an ad for a "Nimble Bay Hen" not to far from me and talked to owner/seller for an hour after looking at some real neat pics. He explained some of the difference in cat/gaff boating vs a more traditional Marconi. I really like the looks of the boat (have admired several Kodiaks over the years)and as he explained that there is no stays for mast, has a mast gallows? Does not sail close to the wind and is flat bottomed shallow draft. The cabin has non-opening portholes with absolutely nothing in it...my friend Vic from Macs advised me to "go on over to the Cat folks side of the house lol" and get a feel. Anyone got one of these critters and like to contribute please feel free. Read on a nimble site earlier to be real leery of The mast base, and to remove the base plate and examine for cracks that will according to that site will eventually , sooner than later bring the mast down....comments????
Vic also says to make sure I say Hello to Norm!!!! If anyone has knowledge of any good trailer boats in your area please pass them onto me for follow up. Not every boat for sale is on the internet....Thanks All...Bob
