The centerboard on my 2005 Suncat has a tendency to get stuck in the up position. The first time this happened was on the Chesapeake Bay when I raised the centerboard in shallow water and snagged some type of seaweed which wedged itself between the board and the trunk. Using a broken fishing rod pushed down the hole for the centerboard line, I was able to push it down. Yesterday however, minutes before the start of a race, I was unable to get the board down until I was back at the dock and went under the boat with a long screwdriver. As soon as the board was raised, it stuck again. Any suggestions? Sidenote - I have an IdaSailer rudder which has significantly improved my windward ability.
