fo those having trouble getting the boom up the mast track.try raising the gaff and throat halyard toghter if the throat halyard gets stuck raise the gaff till it pulls the boom out of the gallows,this should reduce the twist were the boom meets the mast.then you can pull the throat halyard the rest of the way.then you can lower the gaff to suit wind conditions.still learning,but i sail 5 days a week.most important is point bow into the wind.some times hard to do on the dock.make sure mainsheet is slack and downhaul is loose.either i am getting stronger or raising the sail is getting easier.
