(Vicki's Secret Lying Fallow) Do a search and you'll find people who have done long distance touring on their scooters. I think I'd like a bit more horsepower and larger wheels, but that's just personal preference. Joan and I have toured coast to coast and border to border on our motorcycles. It is a lifestyle, much like sailing. I can see it now: leather vests, trimmed in pink... "Vespa Chicks". Kids, hide your grandfathers and warn the hairdressers... the Vespa Chicks are coming to your town! Good mileage, easy to park, fun to ride... two wheels make sense (until the snow flies ). You be careful... this isn't like whacking a dock with a 5 knot boat. Most of all - have fun! Best wishes, Jim PS - Anyone else notice that Vicki has all these cool "warm weather toys" up in the frozen northland? I think there's an island girl in there, just waiting to bust out.
