New Suncat name and I'm off to the North Channel

Report: outside forum guidelines

After trying for 15 years, it seems it's finally going to happen. I originally planned to leave Friday, but I will be going to my daughter's recital (Ithaca College Piano Institute) tomorrow evening and my son and I plan to leave Saturday morning around 4 am.

I've installed lazy jacks, had the boom gallows repaired for the third time (long story), fixed the Adventure Island (I'm going to use it as a dinghy), oiled the teak, washed the boat and will begin the loading process soon.

I just noticed that I am missing the lowest batten. Is it really necessary to have it? Anyone have an idea what size I need?

I decided on a new name for my Suncat (see picture). Thanks for the suggestions . I choose it because of the "cat" buried in the musical term (thanks, Craig). I am taking my good camera so I should have lots of pictures when I get back.
