i towed my suncat 350 miles from nj to nh. with a 4.0 6 cyclinder ford ranger with a tow pkg.plan to tow my suncat to florida this fall.i would not want to tow a suncat with any thing smaller than my ranger.i have installed new tires and new brakes.i am sure it can be done with a smaller vehicle but i would not feel safe.i figure 2000 lbs for the suncat and trailer.after you load stuff in the suncat you are looking at towing close to 2500 lbs.stopping becomes very important.i will take the motor&rudder off the transom,plus slow down on the way south.when i was young i would have attempted to tow my suncat with my harley.
