Hi Charlie, If your Sailcare 'jacks are like mine,there is a set of eyepads on the boom about 2/3's aft. The lazy jacks attach to these w/a nylon snaphook when deployed. I simply attached a 4'length of shock cord to the nylon hook along with a small carabiner hook. The extension passes through the eyepad and has a stopper knot at the end. To tighten the system, pull the extension until you can hook the carabiner on the eyepads(one one each side of the boom) and voila', the jacks are tight and you have two shock cord "tails" which can be wrapped around the sail to act as a quick sail tie once it has dropped into the lazy jacks. Will try to take a series of pix to show details. The ones I took yesterday didn't show well.
