From my "somewhat limited perspective"...

LOL That perspective of a northerner who is looking for some warmth in the winter. Plenty of time in the exact same boat. Wandering the Keys and south Florida in the past 18 months.

I think I have a grip on Bob's perspective. Granted, there are plenty of great places in Florida, but the dream of the Keys is what brings a guy with a sailboat south. He may find that there are other places that are just as appealing once he gets there, but I was trying to stay on his topic.

The WCTSS certainly does a bunch of fun stuff, but that really isn't the same as spending months onboard, as Bob is intending. We spent a bunch of years as weekend sailors... that is an activity that is a great escape from work and the real world. As you know, living aboard becomes the real world from a different (and hopefully not limited) perspective.

Best wishes,
Jim
