In Response To: No...but I did (Riley Smith, MS Gulf Coast)

I am very new at this Catboat game and have not even had her in the water yet....(partly because of these ferocious thunder/lightning storms every day for most of it)but I have put sail up and down a bunch and noticed that the laced ropes were clinging/hanging/dragging so I cut them out and replaced them with some smaller line left over from my old furler system and individually tied them and that does seem to work better.Riley what you said about the peak is very true and in reverse I found that if i drop peak too soon too fast the gaff throat swallows the first rope loop and won't drop. So I am learnin...I don't mean to sound like a discovered the wheel lol....BTW what is a cringle? Is it a rope loop/hoop? I have had several people email me with possibility of some old lost/found hoops but nothing solid yet....thanks again!
