gaff slug?

Report: outside forum guidelines

broke my suncat today,were the gaff attaches to the mast track,what is the name of this metal piece,could be gaff slug.what ever its called it broke,fell out and is at the bottom of the lake.the gaff is attached to the sail but not to the mast.will call compac wed,1st thing.last month you had the right name for sail slug.bought a yamaha 100 watt inverter generator for the florida trip.
