(Jim B., wandering around) would make that much difference. I'll try pinning it. I've not pinned it so far for fear that if it hits bottom, something will break. I played with the centerboard some, but didn't notice a whole lot of difference. Maybe other factors were swamping its effects. I'll practice reefing - I've done plenty of it in the past, so no problem. And nice to hear that the anchor should be adequate - it just looks puny on the boat. I think I'll get a second, larger anchor anyway. Maybe a Fortress that stows easily. An anchor's cheap insurance. Thanks for the responses, Dave
