In the pic below the tiller is tied off to the far right and the rudder doesn't touch the platform. As you can see her "original lettering" in need of a touch up, I'd like to put two fold down steps on each side to make it easier to climb up and down. Each platform also has retractable two step ladders that are underneath each. They were about $120 when I got them ten years ago. I just took a peak and they are now about $180. But I haven't had any problems with them. No rust or discoloration from UV (very high here) and they have never been covered. I did install aluminum backing plates for each of the mounting bolts, 3 inch square, 1/8 inch thick. For now I step on the upper rungs, carefully, to get down and up from the platforms. Tack on another 10 years, I'm going to want something safer. Dano
