I've have a "free to good home" minature Schnauzer, that I think will make good crew. He is a goer dog and not a stay at home kind. I'm willng to bet he's going to go into the drink so have been trying to figure out a way to get the soggy mess back on board. I'm considering making it out of pool noodles. A couple sewn into a sleeve on each side of a piece of about 2' wide sunbrella with pieces of about 1 1/2 inch 3 strand sewn across it for a ladder. The thought is that when dogs are trying to get out of the water they are pawing and scrambling. This would allow toe holds to grab on to and the noodles would provide some bouyancy as he scrambled up the ramp. Don't know if it will work, but sounds good on paper, but I didn't sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night, so input is appreciated
