Like other Mexican CM 26's (as I have read) mine has a keel cable system that attatches to the end of the keel and runs up into the cabin at the aft end of the keel box (as can be seen in the pic). I remove the ladder to see the wench / keel box better. The removable cover, though (seen at the center of the picture) just doesn't seem like a very intelligent design. I am still perfecting a way a pervent water from splashing up into the salon in anything other than glassy waters through this hole. Is it suposed to be this way or you think I should just glass over it?
