Boat heater

Has anyone had any experience with a diesel fueled interior heater for a boat? A friend of mine is asking for info since he has a source for bio- diesel produced from corn (I can personally think of a better use for corn mash...must be my family's Kentucky background showing through again!). Thanks for the help.
