CM21 mast seat question

I've gotten great input from this site. thanks for all your help. I'll be trying those ideas soon. There's alot of CM26's but few CM21's. I'm about to set my mast for the 1st time. I noticed that there's nothing on the bottom of my mast. If I set her into the mast bracket, she'll be sitting completely at the bottom of the mast bracket. The vertical bolt track is at least 6" tall, I'd like set the mast as high as possible. What should I use to lift her up? Or, am I missing a mast "shoe" of some sort? I haven't found another CM21 to check his mast set-up. If there's another CM21 in the San Diego area and would let me see their boat, I'd like to meet them. Thanks, Mike msackett@san.rr.com
