Make a temp aftstay with a generic turnbuckle based on your current aftstay measurements. Try your aftstay for your headstay. See if it works.

Any clue yet what lenght your mast should be? If so you could extrapolate out some measurements as a SWAG what your headstays and shrouds should be. I'd email Greg in Seattle (on this list) to see if he knows. Though a significant setup to trim down a mast, to be it's proper lenght, it could save a lot of time getting everything else right. But your dealing with a lot of unknowns. Let me know if you go that way on shortening the mast, 12" chop saw, two or more Workmates and some clamps.
