It's hard for me to believe that the little A Frame will allow me to raise my CM26 mast without the mast moving sideways or crashing down. I've combed the archives for as much info as possible, and have learned a lot. I do believe you all. I purchased the 3/4 inch galvanized tubing, two 8 ft pieces, joined on one end with matching eye bolts, and bent on the other ends to match the forward chain plates. So I attach the two legs to the forward chain plates with wing nuts, the forward stays attach to the eyebolt on the A Frame, the main sheet attaches to the other eyebolt on the A Frame, the block and cleat attach to the front deck plate. The back stay is attached to the back of the boat. What height should the roller crutch be to support the mast? Or can the mast be easily raised without an elevated roller crutch? Any additional advice or suggestions would be helpful.
