Today on the archives I happened to read about the superfurl system whereby you can use your old sail. I'm curious. Does the furling system connect to the jib halyard and how is the mast secured? On my current system the forestay is secured at the mast and the front chain plate. I feel confident no one can accidently disconnect the forestay. On a furling system, what keeps the mast from being accidently disconnected and crashing? Any other thoughts, pros and cons of the superfurl system?
