hull paint

Hey guys, Have a quick question for the group. Have a CM21 I am working on, only sailed once last year. The PO painted what looks like bottom paint on while on the trailer, so I have a large = sign on bottom. The paint is a flat looking gray and is kinda chakie. Does this sound like bottom paint and if I buy off E-bay or somewhere is there much chance it will match? thanks Dan
