Experiences today

Took a solo taxi ride for the first time to Duty Free to replenish Vodka stash. 45 minute drive to where I don't know but it was behind Mc Donalds we hit after bar time the night before. Round trip was under $2 USD gave the driver $5. Now $5 USD is about 50000 Rups.

Dave, my friend from Rainy Lake, is still running a fever. He jumped into his brother's swimming pool yesterday, I didn't, and about a hour later 101 F fever. Wha wha wha! I (him) can't go out and party tonight and he didn't. Well he wasn't up to snuff today either. Only difference in our activities other than that, is about a half liter of Vodka a day, V8 and Tobasco. I know how to kill bugs. Bali might be on hold or I could just go without him.

We had this Indo Lady, who looked as old as 75, barely 4' tall, come over via another friend for a massage. Two hours each/$30 each too for two hours. Damn she was good. She found every injury I ever had by touch and worked each like it happened yesterday. Mind you, she spoke no English and I never had to point. Man, it's been since 1963, and I was only 13, when I had a massage that good in Japan.

Love to tell you about the trip to China Town here the night before. Mixed company viewing so I can't. Doesn't fit my standards but way above I've seen for awhile. For those who haven't been where I have gone many years before...one's standard of experience only has to happen once and us Army Helicopter pilots from Nam era...they just can't do us justice in a movie. We were just crazy people.

Note to self...get a note pad. Just missing to say many things observed, like in the middle of the block is a Russian Bar. I'd have to take a picture to get all the letters of the name, but it was there. A block down was beautiful 6'+ Russian Blond walking that way. I jump up to take a look at her and the taksi (taxi) cab driver just laughed. We can all dream no?

A relaxing night at Los Amigos, just a three block walk away, with many margarritas and fine food and friends and then time to drop a note and crawl into bed.

Maybe Bali tomorrow.
