Steve...watched an episode of ShipShape TV in which they applied a new product which is 2 part but designed for do it yourselfers. After preparation of the hull surface, which included repairs of dings and much sanding and getting all the old wax off, the 2 part was mixed and rolled on. Following the guy with the roller was another with a brush "tipping" the paint. When this was finished it rivaled any spray on job. The hull looked like a hunk of glass. I'm not sure,but I believe the product used was made by Inter-lux. You can find prices and advice on shipshapetv.com or West Marine. Several of the major manufacturers are using the 2 part paints instead of gelcoat. Friend of mine just finshed building a Farrier Trimaran and used the 2 part finish in white. The boat and the finish are spectacular. I invited you once before to visit the Alum Creek Sailing Marina just north of Columbus because you are so close. We can put boats in their slips April 1.
