Hi Mark: Sorry for the delayed reply. I think she is very easy to sail and very stable. As she heels over, the lee keel just goes deeper. You can even beach her on the keels (one of the reasons for the keel design). I haven't tried it yet but there is no reason it wouldn't work - just don't do it at speed!. And one great thing about the twin keel - no swing keel issues! The forum carries a lot of issues and resolutions for those keels (sorry guys, not trying to diminish your boats, it is just a reality of a mechanical keel; they need maintenance). The boat has been trouble free (touch wood); not bad for over 30 years old. Each spring I replace a few things to keep her ship shape. That is part of the fun in owning her as far as I am concerned. As I live in a winter zone, we are forced to put our boats on the hard and I do the projects before I can launch her in the spring. It has become an annual pre-sailing season ritual.
Any other questions? I'd be happy to answer.
Cheers!
Dave
