I just kept putting lemon oil on them and over the years the teek came out looking great. Lemon oil doesn't last long but it worked so great on my guitars that I have a lot of it. The wood on my boat soaks it up and the smell is nice also. Just saw a do it yourself artical on makinf covers for them that my wife is going to try.
