I love that. No question your boat is number 161. That's settled. What I'm not sure about, and the photo is a little blured, is that last item: you read it as saying "SER509." However, other boats from that era report slightly different information. Here are three examples: "228 hull 010 Stripe 540"; "267 hull 010 stripe 509"; "378 Hull 010 Strip 509." Whatever "Stripe" or "Strip" refers to, I don't know, but I suspect that yours might say something other than "SER509" after closer inspection. Can you confirm that it says "SER509"?
