(J. R. CM21 #150) Hi J.R., Yes it was before my time here in Tampa, I moved over here from Orlando, Fl. I never heard of the plane crash. But I do a lot of diving here and would love to visit the site. The confederate air force out of kissimmee, fl. does a lot of raising and restoring of old vintage aircraft like that, so it's possible if it was in tact they may have raised it. who knows. By the way I moved here in 2000. It sure is a great p;ace for sailing. Sailing in the gulf of mexico is great! Anyway i'm in the final stages of getting the Sea Dog ready to splash,just have to make that mast raising deal Mike Laney came up with.
