My 26 has a round 1" rail mount on the seat between the motor well and the gas tank hatch, fairly close to the transom. The center has been drilled out to let the 1" stainless pipe go down to the bottom of the hull, the top has a U welded on top with a roller, when down all the way the mast lays just above the stern rail, and when all the way up there is a hole drilled thru the pipe and base fitting with a quick push pin, that elevates the mast 30 some odd inches to make raising the mast easier. I used to do the old weld pintles on the square tube and mount on the transome, but this rudder is too heavy to be taking on and off all the time. This thing is the cats meow!!!
