Got the trailer fixed and a small hole in the hull(from the trailer disaster) fixed this afternoon. Tomorrow I plan to get the keel winch taken care of, then on to bottom paint while it's up in the air. Hopefully by Friday night or Saturday morning, I will sail again, margarita in hand! One side note-what has kept me off the water was last year some rope got caught in the keel well while raising. After much work, it finally freed and at the same time loosened the keel winch from it's mounting. Good thing, too, since the winch and cable were in dire straights. I can't tell for sure, but it appears to be the original, rusted, corroded and frayed. In my spare time(what little of it I have) I have looked on this site for info regarding the repair. Thanks to everyone who posts here. It has been a great help! I will post a pic of the old winch when I get a chance. Matt
