Yeah that is a good idea, I guess I'll have to start hanging around the dock.
I sailed a bit as a kid, my dad had a Hobie cat, and I dated a girl who worked at lake Merit in Oakland Ca. We use to take out the 14 footers and "screw around", Didn't learn much about sailing from her tho.....
Any ideas of weak points that I should inspect? Any problem areas on a CM 21 that I should know about?
I'll try to get my hands on a good book like the one you mentioned.
I'm looking forward to restoring this boat to original condition, and seeing her in all her glory out on the water.
The original owner was a mentor to my room mate and when he (mentor) passed away he left the boat to my room mate. My room mate is not a sailor so the boat just sat. I finally talked him in to signing it over to me, so I could fix it up and take him out on it. ( <<<< boy He's brave) Little did I know there is almost nothing wrong with the boat ( at least that is apparent to my untrained eye) It has a bent eye on one turn buckle, a few minor cracks in the glass, and the rope is old, but looks in good shape. All wire are in just about mint condition. I just washed her and swept her out, she looks good to me!!
Thanks for the info. Cope
