is an excellent way to familiarize yourself with all the different rigging on sailboats. Just sorta hang out and look at stuff. Don't worry if you don't understand all the things you see, it will all soak in over time.
And you might bump into a boat owner or three who will 'explain' his boat to you. I haven't met a sailor yet who didn't like showing off his boat.
Don't be afraid to ask questions either.
