is this considered a "Pennant"?
I was experimenting with raising the jib above the bow rail, but it made the jib ride on the stays even more. I am gonna add four or five feet of PVC pipe over the stays to help with the line snagging on the wire.
With the "Pennant" in place do you find it brings the jib closer to the mast? I was thinking of making some type of "Bowsprit" to move the jib forward, but then the fore stay will need to be moved and the engineering starts to get complex.

PS. Mike in Hungary I have heard you have a good archive of CM restoration projects done by you? If so would you be willing to link them here?
